LA Services is an Australian owned family business, specialising in offering customised solutions for pressure equipment and piping applications.
Established in 1981 by Louie & Anne Chouaifaity in Sydney’s south west, the company has always been renowned for it’s quality workmanship and pioneering techniques.
Starting as a small workshop in Revesby repairing boiler, when LA Services became ISO 9001 certified for oil and gas work, the company thrived attracting the likes of Woodside, Caltex and Shell. Due to the rapid growth, LA Services moved the workshop to a larger facility in Revesby and bought the adjoining land to cater for the larger projects and increased demand.
LA Services continued to grow in size – expanding the workshop and attracting more local talent. 2006 was a turning point for the company, undertaking a substantial project of 30 pressure vessels for Woodside. During this period Project Management was introduced, in-house design grew, document control and Work Health Safety became a major focus and our supply chain became global. These advancements, streamlined LA Services processes to create efficiencies and benefits for its customers and employees.
With the Australian manufacturing industry undergoing change, the mining boom over and a global pressure equipment supplier market established LA Services undertook a business review to identify gaps and carefully looked at the role it could play in setting the benchmark for Australian heavy fabrication manufacturers. While LA Services had already provided numerous solutions for it’s customers, the company’s focus turned towards a greater solution, for their industry as a whole. In late 2016, LA Services developed and committed to a new Strategic Plan to propel it into the future.
LA Services is now proactively engaged with research and education partners, seeking longevity for Australian manufacturing and attracting young talent who are seeking a challenging career that involves their hands, problem solving and the application of technical capabilities. With a focus on integrating IoT with material and data science, LA Services are now developing innovative ways to combine our heritage with digital services to enhance product to client interaction and introduce product lifecycle management.
